Fiber Art as unique as the person who wears it.

About

W. John Jameson III

A native of Loudonville, New York, W. John Jameson III first discovered his love of art and design in boarding school. He felt so fortunate to have had teachers that challenged and supported creative exploration in painting, drawing, acting and ultimately the weaving that Jameson came to love. After completing a Mass Communications degree at Boston University; the creative urge drew him to the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City where Jameson continued his study of textiles, earning a degree in fashion design. In 1992, Jameson entered the corporate fashion world, where in just four years he worked his way up to Creative Director of apparel and uniform fabrics for a textile firm.

In mid 1999, Jameson followed his calling and founded Twisted Textiles. Based in Carnegie Hill, New York City, Jameson designs and produces unique hand-woven textiles using the finest fibers and materials available.

Jameson’s work has been featured in numerous gallery exhibitions as well as solo shows at Gallery VIII at the Southern Vermont Arts Center in Manchester, Vermont and the Chaffee Arts Center in Rutland, Vermont. He has also completed several private commissions, ranging from hand-held textiles to large scale wall hangings for clients in New York City and Vermont. For the past several years, Jameson has been honored to have Twisted Textiles accepted at the top Craft shows in the country, including the American Craft Council's shows in Atlanta, Baltimore, Charlotte, Chicago, St. Paul, and San Francisco,  CraftBoston, Paradise City Arts Festival, One of a Kind Chicago and the prestigious Philadelphia Museum of Arts Craft Show.
